Our law firm understands you have a choice when selecting an attorney and we want to create an atmosphere that works right for you.
How Do I Prepare for My First Meeting With An Attorney?
Preparing ahead of time for your initial meeting with your attorney is extremely important as it allows the attorney to quickly understand the situation and provide you with straight-forward candid legal advice. Clients are encouraged to start making a folder of all important legal and financial documents before they come in so the attorney can review them with you and establish a reasonable account of the facts. This may include bringing extra copies of any agreements and financial disclosures you may have in order for the attorney to provide you with a quick review and let you know if there is any missing information.
Does Your Law Firm Offer Free Initial Consultations?
We do not offer free consultations because we believe such arrangements could hurt the attorney-client relationship. Many attorneys offer free consultations as a way to attract new clients into their office but offer little practical guidance on your first visit. We believe all clients should get the full attention from their attorney that they deserve from the very first time they meet with their attorney.
What Will I Be Billed?
Based on the relative complexity of your matter you may be billed on a time and materials basis, or charged a flat fee upon completion of the matter. All flat fee arrangements are agreed to up front and our attorneys exercise the highest level of ethics and care in their billing practices. Many times this differs between practice areas and attorney and should be discussed the first time you meet with your attorney.
Do You Offer Contingent Fees Arrangements?
We do not offer contingency fee arrangements at this time. We want our attorneys to be compensated for the work they perform and usually this ends in a distinct benefit to the client. Often times contingency fee arrangements can result in the attorney requiring one-third of all winnings to off-set the amount of risk in taking your case. We believe that the quality of our work speaks for itself and we believe we should work hard to find the solution that works best for you.
